Offensive Coordinator / Wide Receivers Coach
Alex Kretzschmar is in his first season as an assistant coach/offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach for the Dakota State (S.D.). Trojan Football team.
Kretzschmar has been the assistant coach for Colby College in Waterville, Maine for the past three years. He was the quarterbacks/wide receivers' coach, assistant recruiting coordinator, academic coordinator and video coordinator for the Mules.
Kretzschmar was the graduate assistant coach for Saint Ambrose (Iowa) from 2013-15, where he earned his master's degree in organizational leadership. While at SAU, he coached wide receivers, worked with special teams, and was the head coach of the junior varsity football team.
His other coaching experience included an assistant coach in charge of wide receivers at North Park University in 2012. In addition, Kretzschmar was a student coach at St. Norbert (Wis.) College, where he earned his bachelor's degree in business administration in 2010.
He was a three-year letter winner at St. Norbert and played wide receiver on the football team. He received a coaches' award during his final season.
Assistant Coach/Offensive Lineman
Skibba is in his first season with the Trojan Football coaching staff. He is the offensive line coach for the Trojans.
Prior coming to Dakota State (S.D.), Skibba was a graduate assistant and worked with the offensive line for NCAA Division I-AA Murray State (Ky.) last fall. He was also the graduate and student assistants for his alma mater at NCAA Division III Wisconsin-Whitewater, a traditional football powerhouse, from 2014-16. He coached two All-American and one All-Region offensive lineman. He helped the Warhawks finish the second in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) in rushing offense and captured Division III National Championship in 2014.
Skibba played football for four years at Wisconsin-Whitewater. He was a member of two Division III National Championships with the Warhawks in 2011 and 2013. Skibba was named to All-Conference, All-Region and All-American Honorable Mention offensive lineman.
Skibba is a native of Plover, Wis. He graduated from Wisconsin-Whitewater with a degree in health, human performance and recreation in 2016.
