Offensive Line / Special Teams Coordinator
Dennis Cooper is entering his first season with the Dakota State Football Program. He will serve as the offensive line coach and special teams coordinator for the Trojans in 2017. He most recently worked as an offensive graduate assistant at Kent State University under Coach Paul Haynes. He also has extensive experience working as a high school football coach in West Michigan.
Cooper earned his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Secondary Education from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Mich. He is a native of Belding, Mich.
Jared Hottle begins his fifth season coaching with Dakota State University football team. He is the team's offensive coordinator as well as wide receivers coach.
Hottle was one of the three finalists to the 2016 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Assistant Coach of the Year honor after a record-breaking season with the Trojans’ offensive team.
Hottle went to Central College where he was a student assistant for the football team assisting with offensive line for a year and defensive backs for three years. In addition to coaching duties, he also assisted in coordinating video as well as assisting in both in and out-of-season recruiting for the Dutch.
Hottle was an Economics and Political Science double major while at Central. He completed his Master's degree in Educational Technology from Dakota State University in December of 2014.
Hottle is a native of Waterloo, Iowa.
